When I worked with Matt, he was like a utility player for a World Series team. He could handle anything you threw at him with aplomb. Whenever a problem arose that had everyone else stumped, Matt could be counted on to dig in and find a solution.

Matt has a unique combination of talents -- he can dial down to the slightest detail as well as see how that detail evolves and impacts the big picture. This makes him invaluable in problem solving, process development, and project management. He's an innovative thinker who never gives up on finding more efficient ways to achieve goals, and he can be counted on to find a way to bring organization out of chaos.

Matt was also great fun to work with. Though we worked in different cities, I considered him a friend, and I looked forward to working on projects with him. I think the greatest indicator of how well regarded Matt was on our team was this: After he'd moved on to new opportunities, whenever a thorny situation arose at work, a common cry was, 'We need a new Matt!"

When I first met Matt, I was impressed by his technical knowledge of infrastructure and IT systems, his organization and his unique ability to be on top of all things at all times. Who knew that he would also have a great sense of humor to keep the team working as well?

Matt was my mentor at Computer Sciences Corporation. While I was progressing through my early years in the consulting profession, a number of mentors assisted in guiding and shaping my approach to the business climate.
